    The People

Tarrant County has more film and video production jobs than any other county in Texas, and the local workforce has grown nearly nine times over since 2019. A single season of Landman hired 1,092 crew, 192 cast, and more than 2,500 extras, and the city carried it alongside other productions.

The Tarrant County College Fort Worth Film Collaborative, built with 101 Studios, trains residents for set work and places graduates on shows like Landman and Lioness. Mayor Mattie Parker and the City Council are active advocates for the industry.

    The Place

Western backdrops and modern museums, Art Deco downtown and rolling green space, with the major neighborhoods about ten minutes apart. SGS Studios at AllianceTexas is the largest production campus in the state, and Trilogy Studios runs the largest volume wall in Texas.

DFW Airport reaches any city in the continental United States in four hours or less. Cost of living sits 7% below the national average and housing 22.4% below, the lowest in the metro, which keeps crew housing, location fees, and catering competitive.

    A Yes Town

Productions choose Fort Worth because it's easy to work here. No city permit is needed to film on private property, street closures and parking move quickly through the City, and the Film Commission helps productions of every size find locations and solve problems.

Fort Worth is home base for Taylor Sheridan's productions, was named Emerging Location at the 2026 Global Production Awards in Cannes, and sits in one of only six Oscar-qualifying markets in the country.

“I've probably moved 15% of my staff here. They come here, they love it. They can get houses for a great price.”David Glasser, CEO, 101 Studios

    Close-up of a cinema lens

While our hands are in the gear, our heart is in the film industry. Shine Cine is Fort Worth's independent cinema rental house: cameras, glass, lighting, grip trucks, and dedicated prep bays, with real published rates and a team that has spent decades on set. We believe filmmaking is built on relationships, and that productions do their best work when the rental house is invested in the shoot.

We aren't Austin or LA. This is Fort Worth, and we win when we work together. If you're bringing a production to town, send us the complete list. We'll help you build the package, source what we don't own, and point you to the right local crew.
